Officer Concettina “Tina” Benzi has been a Police Officer with the city of Meriden for eight years. She has worked in the Patrol Division and Street Crime Unit. Officer Benzi has received extensive training in the L.O.C.K.U.P.® Combat System and is a State of Connecticut certified Arrest and Control Instructor as well as Handcuffing, O.C. Spray and Police Baton Instructor. Officer Benzi has also received training in Close Quarter Combatives in Soulis Shooting System as well as other firearms combative programs. Officer Benzi has also implemented L.O.C.K.U.P.® in-house training sessions at the Meriden, CT Police Department.

Officer Benzi is an adjunct instructor for the Connecticut Police Academy, Hartford, CT and Waterbury, CT Police Academies. Officer Benzi presently conducts seminars, workshops and training courses across the country in the L.O.C.K.U.P.® system. She has presented at the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame Conference, American Women’s Self Defense Association (AWSDA) and Mid-Atlantic Association of Women in Law Enforcement (MAAWLE).  Officer Benzi assisted in the development of curriculum for Controlling Violent Combatants -Overcoming Size Differences for Female and Smaller Stature Officers.

Officer Benzi was personally selected by Lt. Kevin Dillon (Ret) to serve on his instructional staff. Tina travels throughout North America and Europe teaching the L.O.C.K.U.P.® Police Combat System.
