It was a pleasure and honor to present our Instructor Level training on L.E.A.D.S. Law Enforcement Active De-escalation Strategies at the Honolulu Police Department, Hawaii Oct. 1-3, 2024.

The training was extremely well received, and all the officers participated actively throughout the entire presentation. They displayed high levels of enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism throughout the training session. • I am the administrative Sergeant at the training division, and I will make all our own curriculum to teach all our officers to strategies and tactics.
• I will practice interleaving training and introduce value training and by adding experience.
• More positive outcomes with both the public and fellow officers
• I work in the control and arrest tactics section and excited to share this info with recruits and incumbents to give them more tools to use.
• Demonstrate techniques in ways to utilize and effective ways to de-escalate and report in writing.
• This class gave me more options to use in my everyday work that I believe, was a missing piece of my training. We will be able to start to mold new officers this information. Will be very beneficial to recruits and also incumbent officers to help mitigate using force if not necessary.

This is an award winning a nationally recognized  conflict resolution de-escalation certification course. The L.E.A.D.S. ™ Plus T – Law Enforcement Active De-escalation Strategies Training  was  developed in 2007 and is being used throughout the United States. 

Through lectures, demonstrations, role play, and practical scenario applications, this course is an instructor level program designed  to qualify students in the L.E.A.D.S. ™ – Law      Enforcement Active De-escalation Strategies . The course is classroom based to educate and train instructors in positive communications skills, effective de-escalation techniques, anger management and combat confrontation avoidance techniques. The course teaches how to recognize aggressive behaviors and keep them from  escalating. Students learn Active De-escalation Strategies that can avoid or resolve negative interactions by employing effective de-escalation methods. This course also discusses  tactical responses to use when diffusion tactics are inappropriate or ineffective and teaches distraction techniques that promote the success of tactical applications.
