It was both a pleasure and an honor to present our L.O.C.K.U.P.® Arrest and Control Instructor Training at the Oakland Police Academy from August 25–29, 2025. The training was extremely well received, with students demonstrating outstanding enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism throughout the five-day session.

Fours across the board! I thoroughly enjoyed this training and learned more than I thought. Lieutenant Dillon was the most lively and engaging instructors I’ve had for in service training which was great! I agree heavily in the training on how you fight and training wearing your equipment. Great course overall and I will return.

 One of the best instructors I’ve had period, fun to listen and a very good practical class for real world. One thing I would suggest is with every wearing outer carrier vests, to point out of the dangers of putting your hands hanging inside the vest. It’s very common and becoming a common practice threat,  if not corrected

One of the best instructors I’ve ever had, wasn’t hard to stay focused while lessons were taught.

 Great class overall! Lots of reps but not too many period very important! Understands when the group is ready to move on to new subject, we’ll be back KD is one of the most informative instructors I’ve had in 33 years of law enforcement. He’s very engaging, knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend this course.

 KD took me from being very skeptical to a believer in the process coming from a cage fighting background I was unsure how everything would translate. KD is extremely knowledgeable and presents facts based learning. 0 ego! KD has he instilled a confidence that I can teach lock up but also make it home to my family every night thank you.

 Very passionate about what they are teaching and instructing. One of the toughest but most rewarding classes I have taken.

 Great class, can’t wait to bring these skills back to my department great course and glad to be a part of the team. Great experience and knowledge thanks KD.

Class was presented well and even though I was unprepared for the physicality the instructors took the time to assist me in others to understand the movements and how to apply them effectively water training was an outstanding way to understand our limitations.

 Overall the class was well structured and very interactive I liked how each day progressed the intensity ramped up, also awesome way to meet others from different agencies great class!
