The training was attended by officers from throughout Michigan and Ohio. The officers actively participated throughout the physically demanding and mentally challenging 5 day Instructor training program. This is what the team had to say!

- Love the passion behind the instructors, I like seeing the videos of these techniques being used.
- Very detailed in explaining provides everything you need to succeed.
- Sound, relevant info that is practical for everyday use on the street which was presented clearly and with good detail.
- Lieutenant Dillon was excellent in his delivery, instruction and energy. The demos put on by his instructors was additionally top notch, thorough chunked instruction they took the time to address each learner.

- Gave valuable information to pass along.
- Useful information that is presented in an easy to understand format. This course gives me more tools to use to gain control of a non compliant suspect that I can also teach to other officers in my department.
- Our department has nearly zero hands on training so this will be implemented into future training for all our officers. The introduction of this material along with my police departments policy will allow an effective development of a defensive tactics program.
- Improve report writing in use of force on patrol.
- Continue to improve our program at OCSO.
- We are building from the ground up so we will implement everything we can.
- This training makes me able to teach the content to my department and possibly to my local Academy.
- It’s going to allow me to better explain the techniques and how to execute them.
- We will be taking this back to our agency to implement a defensive tactics training program where one has not existed in many years.
- It needs to get the buy in from command. It qualifies and explains when, why, and it has been around a long time. Proven. KD is credible and this system is approved by MCOLES and Michigan LE governmental body.
- We are currently already rolling lock up for in service and new hires. I feel more comfortable with the material to better assist new hires in learning.
- As my recertification, it will allow me to continue to teach instruct for our agency. This course was a great refresher for all the material and updates to the program.
- Training future corrections academies.

The L.O.C.K.UP. training differentiated itself from other defensive tactics programs being instructed throughout the country. L.O.C.K.U.P. is not a
technique-based training system but the emphasis is on the actual collection of data on the use of force incidents, and detailed reporting to determine the effectiveness and needs assessments of the officers on the street.
