Presented by two internationally recognized experts on response to violence for first responders and civilian personnel. This eight hour seminar is designed as an integrated response for Dispatch, Police, EMS, Fire, Community members and Educators. The presentation will address multiple strategies addressing personal protection both at work and at home.  The key to personal protection is prevention and knowledge. The first step is to acknowledge that violent attacks can happen to you, the second is to take steps to prevent them.

  • Dispatch, first point of contact, how to extract valuable information from callers for street responders. Unlike Hollywood, issues don’t come in one at a time, multitasking strategies.

  • Learn methods of effective verbal de-escalation strategies for human communications, starting with telephone contact to street interaction.
  • Integrated responses for special population incidents. Police/Fire/Dispatch and EMS.

Col. Dave Grossman is an internationally recognized scholar,  author, soldier, and speaker who is one of the world’s foremost experts in the field of human aggression. As founder of a new field of scientific endeavor termed “Killology,” Lt. Col. Grossman has made  revolutionary new contributions to our  understanding of  killing in war, the psychological costs of war, the root causes of the current “virus” of violent crime   plaguing the world, and the process of healing the victims of violence, in war and in peace.

Lt. Dillon is a 26 year veteran law  enforcement officer, SWAT Commander,    internationally recognized expert on combatives instructor and speaker.  He is the   founder and developer of the L.O.C.K.U.P. ®     Police Training System now  presently  instructed in over 18 states and 5 countries. He has appeared on CNN, NPR, Police Magazine.com and is a Police Academy Expert and   Contributor for PoliceOne.com . Lt. Dillon will discuss current issues and how to use Strategies and Tactics for law enforcement and civilian personnel reponse to violent attacks. Recent research and incidents will be discussed and how to apply the science and  research to enhance tactics.
