Congratulations to the graduates of the LOCKUP Overcoming Size Differences for Female Enforcers for Female Enforcers. It was an honor and a pleasure to present our Overcoming Size Differences for Female Enforcers the officers of the state of Michigan hosted by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office . Instruction lead by National Instructors Megan Thul and Jason Miller. The training was extremely well received, with all attending officers demonstrating exceptional enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism throughout the physically and mentally challenging 3 day course. Their active participation greatly contributed to the success of the program.

This three-day course is designed to prepare officers for managing violent encounters with larger suspects. When controlling individuals of greater size and strength, effective combat strategies focus less on upper body power and more on technique and leverage. The methods taught in this course can be applied by any officer facing a size disparity. Training days are intensive, combining hands-on drills with mental challenges. Participants are required to wear full-duty gear, including vests, gun belts, and long pants, to replicate real-world conditions and enhance practical skill application.
