Student Reviews

I have attended two other de-escalation classes and this is the best one.
The class taught me how to deliver messages more effectively and how to be a better listener.
Instructor – Lt. Dillon Excellent, Instructor was energetic and engaging with the class.
Excellent training!!!
Very relevant to corrections.
Fantastic, great visuals, information and very engaging.
Assist in staying calm during difficult situations and processing emotions.
Instructor was fantastic at presenting the information and keeping the class attentive.
I’m a de-escalation trainer certified through xxxxx. This class was more valuable and provided better information.
As a patrol supervisor I can use what I have learned to train my unit. Especially in reviewing BWC.
Would recommend to the rest of my department.
(Instructor – Lt. Dillon) Very personable. Made a long class enjoyable. I would come back for other classes.
I was involved in a shooting 6 months ago. This class changed my mindset and jhow to better interact with possible future EDP.
This reminds me of the necessity of continuing to attempt de-escalation techniques.
Instructor – Lt. Dillon appeared to be extremely knowledgeable and studied in the material.
Practical tactics that can be used  for on the job experience.
Should be given to the whole department especially admin and IA.
This training will help me deal with many different scenarios in my everyday interactions with the public.

De-escalation Certification for the Law Enforcement Professional!
This is a nationally recognized conflict resolution de-escalation certification course. The program is instructed within a classroom setting how to recognize aggression and not stimulate aggression. Students learn Active De-escalation Strategies that can avoid escalating situations or resolve interactions by employing verbal influence techniques, de-escalation and communications methods. Officers learn how to influence behavior by deploying techniques that are proven to work in the “real world”. Officers are also instructed on how to document the de-escalation strategies.
