A coordinated team response model for safely managing highly agitated individuals while reducing injuries, exertion, and liability
This specialized training program prepares officers to safely manage high-risk encounters involving individuals experiencing extreme behavioral or medical crisis. The course integrates lecture, demonstration, and scenario-based training to develop instructors in Team Coordinated Control Tactics that enhance safety, reduce risk, and improve operational effectiveness. Poorly coordinated responses to highly agitated individuals can increase medical distress, physical exertion, and exposure to civil liability or public scrutiny. This program provides structured, team-based strategies that support controlled restraint, efficient stabilization, and measured decision-making during critical incidents.
Instruction emphasizes coordinated movement, communication protocols, positional awareness, integrated medical response and controlled transitions that prioritize both officer safety and subject welfare.
