The L.O.C.K.U.P.® Police Arrest and Control Recertification program is built into the first two sessions of the 9 Day CT Arrest and control Instructor class. Certificated L.O.C.K.U.P.® Arrest and Control instructors are required to be recertified every three years to remain current with instructor methodologies and the updated curriculum. Instructors will learn the updated material and demonstrate their instructor abilities by participating in instruction. Maintaining updated certification is paramount when teaching officers use of force skills and methodologies. Instructors with expired certification will find it difficult to defend in litigation.
