Congratulations to the new graduates of the L.O.C.K.U.P. arrest control training hosted by the Rhode Island municipal police training Academy in Rhode Island state police. The training was attended by officers from throughout Rhode Island, Colorado and Maryland. The officers attended and actively participated through the physically demanding and mentally challenging 5 day program.

I really enjoyed the presentation. For the first time the psychology behind arrest and control was explained in detail. It kept me engaged the entire time. “K.D.” Lieutenant Dillon knows what he is talking about and is one of the best subject matter experts.

The classroom portion was a methodology class in itself. It is great for all levels of teachers. The hands on portion was fantastic. Repetition was great.

The quality of the presentation was great, very clear instructors and taught in a memorable way.

A PowerPoint and hands on portion was all very effective. This training will allow me to assist with my departments in service training.

The facility in classroom use is perfect for this type of training period use of force needs both the practical applications and how to teach them, plus how to document appropriately.

The Internationally Recognized Award winning L.O.C.K.U.P.® Police Arrest and Control  Instructor Course is an intensive 5-day training program designed to provide comprehensive arrest and control confrontation training. This course equips participants with a robust foundation in physical manipulation techniques, and effective instructional methods. Upon   completion, attendees will be certified as L.O.C.K.U.P.® Arrest and Control Instructors. The training  focuses on practical, empty-hand skills that can be utilized by individual officers or as part of a team. The selection committee unanimously selected Lt. Dillon’s L.O.C.K.U.P. Arrest and Control Training and L.E.A.D.S. Law Enforcement Active Diffusion Strategies Training Systems
over all other nominees as the recipient of the award.

The L.O.C.K.UP. training differentiated itself from other Defensive tactics programs being instructed throughout the country. Not a technique-based training system but the   emphasis is on the actual collection of data on the use of force incidents, and detailed reporting to determine the effectiveness and needs assessments of the officers on the street.
