0830 – 1630
It was a pleasure and honor to present our Triple Instructor Certification on Handcuffing, OC Spray and Police Baton hosted by the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy and the Rhode Island State Police on Nov. 18 – 22, 2024
The training was extremely well received, and all the officers participated actively throughout the entire 5 day presentation. They displayed high levels of enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism throughout the training session. A review of the course evaluations revealed an overwhelming satisfaction rating from the attending members of the course. I have attached an assessment of the evaluations for your review.
This will help me instruct and teach other officers how to properly, and proficiently, engage on various levels of force.
Every breakdown and explanation flowed and backed up the techniques as well as the science and application.
K.D. (Lt. Kevin Dillon Ret) does an excellent job teaching both the material and the physiology of learning to enable better teaching and retention of the material
The material that I learned I will definitely bring it back to my department to request positive changes especially being updated.
It will help refine department policy and give officers a better understanding of the content they are being taught.
Always a pleasure to attend a LOCKUP course. Presentation more than just???? but actual scenarios displayed.
This training will provide my Police Department with up to date and effective ways to handcuff as well as upgrade OC baton integration to our training.
The instructors besides being knowledgeable in the area of instruction also have the personality to command attentiveness throughout their delivery making the class very productive.
We were given numerous handouts, PowerPoints, and videos that I can relay to my PD.
This training will add to my OC RECERT in department and allow me to develop for departments and our first weaponless tactics training.
PowerPoint in classroom time was perfect I was engaged in the material was presented in a fun that easy way to learn.
The instructors took the time to make sure everyone understood the material made the training very personal.
An intensive 5-day training program to develop instructors in Handcuffing, Oleoresin Spray, and the Expandable Baton. This is a law enforcement instructor course developing integration concepts within the less lethal options used by law enforcement and correctional operations. Officers are not restricted to one less lethal option and need to integrate, interleave, and transition from different disciplines. This course brings those options together in an instructor format so agencies can benefit from the investment in the training. ALL 3 FULLY INTEGRATED!!
