Soulis Shooting Systems Basic Firearms Instructor Course

The goal of the Soulis Shooting Systems Basic Firearms Instructor course is to provide detailed information and skills for firearms instructors to effectively train in the Soulis Shooting Systems philosophies and tactics. The student will learn the fundamental and instructional principles of combat firearms tactics and marksmanship. Officer survival, the use of deadly force and firearms proficiency during situational stress are covered in detail. Students are instructed in teaching methodologies needed to safely instruct other students in a safe environment as well as effective drilling techniques and testing methods for student competency.

Students will learn

  • human performance factors as it relates combat efficiency,
  • how stress affects law enforcement officers during critical situations, how to utilize automatic responses and gross motor skills,
  • mindset training for deadly force encounters,
  • psychological and physiological aspects of stress pertaining to shooter proficiency,
  • legal aspects governing use of force issues,
  • to develop situational awareness as it relates to pre-assault indicators,
  • safety issues pertaining to active firearms training,
  • 4 Stages of the post shooting process,
  • to develops combat platforms to integrate all use of force options,
  • integration drills from hands on to chemical agents, impact weapons to deadly force,
  • proficiency in the 4 stages of the draw,
  • grip and trigger manipulation during close quarters engagements,
  • grip and trigger manipulation for surgical shot placement,
  • to generate movement from the draw,
  • to deliver quick accurate shot placements while target focused,
  •  proficiency as a one and two handed shooter,
  • combat reloads and magazine saves,
  • 90º & 180º degree turns,
  • grounded shooting platforms and positions,
  • forward, rear and lateral movement while maintaining 360º security,
  • emphasis on gross motor response and keeping their eyes in the fight, and
  • instructor development skills utilizing onsite training aids in group pods.

 

Winning Deadly Force Encounters

This intensive 5 day Close Quarters Tactics for Deadly Force Encounters course is designed for the street officer. It provides in depth confrontation training combining empty hand combat maneuvers with firearms weapons systems. This program develops a solid foundation of physical manipulation techniques and police fighting skills with high intensity firearms training specifically designed for the types of close quarter shooting incidents that law officers most commonly face. Both the empty hand and the shooting skills can be utilized by officers individually or with a partner.

Hand to Hand Combatives for Tactical and SWAT Officers

This intensive two day course is designed specifically for SWAT officers. The fighting concepts and maneuvers are based on SWAT entries and deployments. The physical combat maneuvers are designed to be deployed while officers are in full SWAT gear. This innovative course gives both individuals and teams the ability to physically control hostile individuals during SWAT operations including handgun and long gun retention techniques.
