It was a pleasure and honor to present our Use of Force Analysis and Investigation for the Law Enforcement / Correctional Leader on April 23-24, 2024 at the Williams County Sheriff’s Office. The training was very well received, and all the officers participated actively throughout the entire presentation. They displayed high levels of enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism throughout the two-day training session.

  • Everything he taught applies to modern day policing, our bodies response to stress, de-escalation techniques, the importance of training, case law versus state law, taking care of a police officers, ETC literally everything to handle stress and good info to pass along to my guys and gals.
  • It will help in reviewing use of force reports as well as training the officers on proper use of force.
  • Help me to better protect my agency and all its members from liability. Making our agency more efficient thus making a better product for our community.
  • Help to improve training that is done inter?? in our department and how to properly debrief a scene.
  • This training will enable me to be able to explain why officers conducted a particular arrest and ascertain why.
  • This training teaches you to ensure officers are writing detailed reports and are not using police jargon.
  • Primarily, policy review and adjustment following that, a shift in investigative procedures and follow up in operational review.

  • This training will help improve how I review use of force reports and be less biased when doing so. This training has also given me additional knowledge to take back to my department to help them better write reports.

  • More focus on perception and training on low frequency high risk.
  • Better understand different points of view and better way to assess each use of force. Each one is different and needs to be looked at thoroughly.
  • Implement interview techniques in place more detail in reports to prevent legal actions against staff and department.
